Tampa Sports Authority Board
Board Selection ProcessThe Tampa Sports Authority is governed by a board of 11 members whose term runs from August to September. Each of the above member's term shall be four years or until his successor shall be appointed and qualified. Four of the members shall be residents of HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, appointed by the board of commissioners of Hillsborough County. Four of the members shall be residents of the CITY OF TAMPA, appointed by the Mayor with concurrence of the City Council. One of the members shall be a resident of HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY and appointed by the Governor. Two of the members shall be the following Ex-Officio members and shall have the same full membership respect, including voting rights, as each of the other nine members. These members included a member of City Council of the City of Tampa, to be Designated by it, and a member of the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, to be designated by it. The authority shall elect one of its members as Chairman, one as Vice-Chairman, and one as Secretary-Treasurer. MeetingsRegular Meetings of the Board are open to the public and as a rule are held at 4:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. Executive Committee Meetings are held on the second – Monday of each month at 12:00 p.m. The meetings are held in the boardroom at the Tampa Sports Authority office located at Raymond James Stadium, 4201 North Dale Mabry Highway.
