All Repairs Complete at Rocky Point Golf Course after Sunday Night Vandalism
Speedy repairs causes no stoppage in golf activity

Tampa, Fl (January 14, 2015)- The vandalism that occurred at Rocky Point Golf Course Sunday night has been repaired. The swift action of course maintenance contractor ABM Golf Services, resulted in no course closure and a temporary 8th green will be utilized until Friday when the repaired 8th green opens back up. The 8th green needed new sod and has to sit a few days before play on it can resume.

“I would like to thank ABM Golf Services for their prompt attention to repairing Rocky Point’s damage, “ said Kennie Sims, Vice President of Golf Operations for the Tampa Sports Authority, who manages the city owned golf course,” we couldn’t have a better partner handling our course maintenance.”

Tampa Sports Authority is the manager of Raymond James Stadium and three city golf courses as well as the landlord for George Steinbrenner Field and the Amalie Arena. The Authority was created for the purpose of planning, developing and maintaining a comprehensive complex of sports and recreational facilities for the Tampa Bay area.
